I Write, Love And Read You Time Borrowed
Picture: New Color Photography |
I write with
sunrises
hurling sunrays
all over landscapes
love-lettering
the earth with footsteps
footnotes for
our children to reference
this reality
of a conference
where words
and heart reside
to build a
house for moments
because past
presents what’s to come
I loved you
with afternoons
peak hours
I even
picked sunflowers
for your
open velds
Dispersed them
as far as Winterveldt
where beauty
rests
As far as
second chance
where hope
has man in unrest
Read me in
sunsets
with the ear
of a parched land
Hear me as
if black ink offends
and open
pages suggest
never-ending
evening walks
such riddled
with the tapestry of talks
that weave
hands with tomorrows
for I write,
love and read you time borrowed
